How old were you when you started playing your instrument?

“I started playing piano at age 3, but fell in love with the harp when I saw it played at a high school talent show and quickly asked for lessons (age 13). ”

Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?

“I'm a professional musician and I also teach at several colleges in the greater Los Angeles area.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician? 

“Embrace what you love, but also cultivate your curiosity and remain open to new ideas! ”

What do you enjoy most about playing with the BSO? 

“As one of the newer members, I loved coming into the ensemble this year and feeling a strong sense of community amongst the players.”
