How old were you when you started playing your instrument?
“I started playing the violin in the school program when I was 9 years old. My teacher had an Austrian accent that intrigued me!”
What is your favorite music to listen to?
“My musical tastes are eclectic, everything from Miles Davis and Tony Bennett to Johannes Brahms and Tony Dvorak!”
Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?
“After 40 years in music education, I'm a full-time violinist!”
What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician?
“My piece of advice for an aspiring musician is to ‘show up, dress up, and never give up!’ It is on my mirror at home!”
What do you enjoy most about playing with the BSO?
“I love playing great orchestral literature with the BSO, performing for our community, and enjoy lasting friendships with my fellow musicians.”
