How old were you when you started playing your instrument?

“I was 9 years old when I started playing the violin and loved it immediately.”

What is your favorite music to listen to? 

“It depends on the circumstances, but among my favorites are Beethoven's 7th Symphony, Brahms 4th Symphony, and Shostakovich Symphony No 5.”

Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?

“I am a professional musician and also teach private lessons in order to pass on the gift of music to future generations.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician? 

“I would remind an aspiring musician to play from their heart.”

What do you enjoy most about playing with the BSO? 

“Many of us have formed lasting friendships by working for so many years together.  We work towards a common goal,  which is to bring beautiful, heartfelt music to the entire community. ”

“I love to travel with my family and friends.  My dream trip would be to go to Antarctica.”

“I took up horseback riding over the past year and have gone on over 100 rides so far on my Paso Fino.” 

“I am an amateur photographer and also love to read.

“I like to work challenging puzzles and during the lockdown finished a 4,000 piece puzzle with the help of a friend.

“I love animals and like to take long walks with my dog Duma.
