How old were you when you started playing your instrument? 

“I started playing the piano when I was around 6 years old. When I was 12, I joined my middle school band, and my band director had me try out the xylophone, and later, the snare drum and timpani. Since then, my passion for percussion has grown.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to an aspiring musician? 

“My advice for all aspiring musicians is to recognize your true worth and never underestimate yourself. Embrace challenges and critiques as opportunities for improvement, and surround yourself with a supportive community that encourages your passion and creativity.”

What do you look forward to this year with Bakersfield Symphony?

“I am looking forward to making music with incredible musicians!”
