Martin Goni, French Horn

How old were you when you started playing your instrument?

“I started playing the French horn when I was 8 years old. I also started piano at age 4 and organ at age 12. ”

What is your favorite music to listen to? 

“I enjoy listening to movie and TV soundtracks.”

Besides the Bakersfield Symphony, what else do you do for a living?

“I currently am a CPA and have my own tax and accounting practice here in Bakersfield.”

What do you enjoy most about playing with the BSO? 

“I really enjoy getting to have wonderful musical experiences with the people who have become my second "family" over the past 18 years, many of whom were even my music teachers/mentors back when I was in junior high and high school!”

“I am an avid Star Trek fan and have been to over 10 Star Trek conventions where I have met and had pictures taken with many Star Trek actors, including William Shatner and Patrick Stewart. ”
