Young People’s Concerts

Young People’s Concerts are geared specifically toward elementary school students and are attended by schools throughout the county. Programs are engaging and interactive, and the Symphony provides quality lesson plans that teachers can utilize in the weeks leading up to the performance and post-concert.

THIS SEASON’S PROGRAM
The Conductor’s Spellbook tells the magical story of Tony Stradivarius. During a field trip to the symphony, young Tony finds a powerful book of spells and uses it to control the orchestra. This will be an exciting and interactive concert experience that introduces audiences to music, orchestral instruments, and even conducting!

TEACHING RESOURCES
Pre and post-concert lesson plans and videos provided— designed to make the music more approachable and give students a personal connection with both the concert’s music and composers.
